  2. Well I have an old computer, so the issue may be from my machine, but I get an error about "trying to use non-existent surface" with the option to ignore, however no matter how many times you ignore it, it still fails. If you want to see the exact error code, go here: http://www.text-upload.com/read.php?id=114822&c=8321402

I've never downloaded an Alpha indie game before, so it'll hopefully be interesting, downloading now. Will post feedback ASAP.

    Feedback:

Could do with a sound effect when your character lands after a fall.
The instructions don't tell you that A lets you buy items.
No option to exit caves once you're inside them, apart from completing them.
No save progress, but I take it that's done on purpose?
I can't get back into the Starting Cave to get that lever/key/thingy I missed.
You can't pick up more than one of the same potion (again, not sure if intentional).
Getting to the raging bull is a bit hit-and-miss, it's difficult to jump through that little gap.

  5. >Could do with a sound effect when your character lands after a fall.
    Sure, Ill add that.
    >The instructions don't tell you that A lets you buy items.
Im sorry, I dont know what youre talking about.
    >No option to exit caves once you're inside them, apart from completing them.
Thats intentional, if I put an extra life near the beginning of the cave someone could just exit and enter over and over again, but I will put an exit at the beginning of levels that would be impossible to beat if you didnt have something.
    >No save progress, but I take it that's done on purpose?
You can save the game by clicking on the black monolith in the Overworld
    >I can't get back into the Starting Cave to get that lever/key/thingy I missed.
    Its not required.
    >You can't pick up more than one of the same potion (again, not sure if intentional).
    Thats intentional.

    Raging Bull = Lava Bear.

And that lever thingy wasn't in the Starting Cave when I replayed it.

Also, falling doesn't lose any health/lives.

  7. Ive since fixed the issue with falling, when you go out of screen you die, and I honestly dont know what "lever thingy" youre talking about.

I'll try to get a screenshot of the "level thingy", and where it appeared.

    Thanks for responding so quickly.

When I say "level thingy", I mean "lever thingy".

Wish this site had an edit function...

Ok, what I thought was a lever thingy, was actually SwordBread.

When playing through, I saw a SwordBread in the Starting Cave, just to the left of the vertical row of coins. Intentional or not? Because it wasn't there when I played through it again.

(This will probably end up as some stupid mistake on my part)

  11. Wallmonsters have a 1 out of 1000 chance to spit out Swordbread, its not your fault though. It was only mentioned in the first update page.

This happened when I jumped on the spring underneath. My character is standing on that spot. I can jump and still stay there. Like a little invisible ledge.

Also, when I bought the potion of random attributes, when holding down A, and hovering my mouse over it, the description doesn't fit in the window, it's cut out by the bottom right corner.

    Aaaaaand...

Just after the above error, this is stuck on the screen: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/37/caveexplorerglitch2.png/
It may well be related to the error, I don't know

And then, I held down A, and tried hovering over another potion. That closed the game down. :(

  16. ALL THESE ERRORS. I MUST FIX THEM IMMEDIATELY.

You'll be glad to hear that the potions error wasn't a one-off, it happened again. Lucky you.

    That was quick.

But don't worry, I have more things to moan about.

I can save but I have no idea how to load.
Even with Shift + Z, it's bloody difficult to get into where the Lava Bear is.
Just read how to kill the Lava Bear (apparantly), but god damn, it's hard.
The save screen doesn't fit in with the style of the game.

    That's all for now.
